“They made UP, Purvanchal a safe haven for the mafia”: PM Modi fires salvo at SP in Mirzapur

While addressing a public meeting in UP’s Mirzapur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 26 slammed the Samajwadi Party alleging that the party compromised law and order in Uttar Pradesh. While speaking to ANI, he said that the Samajwadi Party made UP a safe place for goons and ‘Mafias’.
“Law and order are at loggerheads with the Samajwadi Party. The terrorists who were caught were also released by these SP people. If any police officer showed reluctance in this, the SP government would suspend him. They had made the whole of UP, Purvanchal a safe haven for the mafia. Whether it was life or land, no one knew when it would be snatched away and in the SP government, even the mafia was seen as a vote bank,” said Narendra Modi.
