Gloucester Warwickshire Steam Railway - Autumn showcase gala - 26/10/2024

The weekend of the 26th & 27th of October saw the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway hold their annual Autumn showcase gala to mark the end of the normal running season. The gala loco roster comprised fully of the GWSR’s resident loco fleet, with four steam engines, two diesel locos and a DMU running a series of passenger trains and a demonstration goods set. This gala was also the last opportunity for passengers to see the class 117 3-car diesel multiple unit running on the GWSR before it leaves for its new home after being sold.

GWR 28xx 2807 (first appearance since being repainted GWR wartime black)
GWR 2884 3850 (first gala appearance since returning from overhaul)
