Unique primary school in Rwanda established by one Rwandan teacher!

Описание к видео Unique primary school in Rwanda established by one Rwandan teacher!

Hello!

We are Ayumi and Kana, currently studying abroad at the Protestant Institute of Arts and Social Sciences (commonly known as PIASS) in Rwanda, Africa. We are studying peacebuilding and conflict resolution with students from Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan, Cameroon, and other countries.

Rwanda is a beautiful country full of greenery. Since the 1994 genocide, Rwanda has developed remarkably, often being referred to as the "Singapore of Africa."

However, there are significant disparities in economic opportunities between urban and rural areas, and financial problems within households have led to unequal access to education.

We met a man named Joseph Dusabe, who is addressing the significant educational disparities in Rwanda. We were deeply inspired by his passion for education and his perspective.

As something we can do, we made this video for the children who are the future of Rwanda. Joseph is featured as a Young Global Leader in the book "WE HAVE A DREAM, 201 Countries 202 Dreams with Sustainable Development Goals".

ITETERO BRIGHT ACADEMY, a primary school was established by him "to provide quality education to vulnerable children and create a peaceful society."

The laughter and smiles of the children we met there are unforgettable. They were filled with the happiness of being able to attend school and the fun of learning. We can’t forget the hopeful faces of those children.

On the other hand, we also can’t forget the presence of local children standing in front of the school gate, watching those children with jealousy.

Children who cannot attend school due to their family's financial circumstances.
Children standing barefoot in tattered clothes, silently watching us.

Joseph wants to see them wearing uniforms, putting on shoes, attending school every day, and laughing with other children.

To realize this dream, there are many challenges such as project planning and financial issues. However, Joseph is courageous and patient enough to achieve this no matter how long it takes.

We want to support his dream by raising awareness about the school. We are also looking for volunteers who are interested in teaching languages and new cultures to the children.

We want to help Joseph and the children of Rwanda who are the future.
We would be grateful if you could share this video with your friends.

Thank you for watching until the end.
