Easy Chicken Chasseur Recipe (or Hunter's Chicken)

This is my super easy chicken chasseur recipe. Chicken chasseur (poulet sauté chasseur) or hunters style chicken is a classic, rustic French one-pot meal that is easy to make and requires few ingredients: chicken, mushrooms, herbs, tomato and wine are at the heart of this dish.

It is easy to imagine a hunter returning from a day's hunting and foraging with these few key ingredients to stew. There should be nothing pretentious about this easy chicken chasseur recipe: toss in the ingredients that you have to hand and it will be warm, tasty and honest especially during the long cold winter months.

When I use to make this chicken chasseur recipe in the past, I use to throw in all kinds of herbs and vegetables but it is simply unnecessary: this chicken chasseur recipe SHOULD be super easy and it will be all the better for it.
