It's clear one of the biggest moves yet to be made yet has been from Canon with the highly anticipated announcements of the Canon R5 II and the long awaited R1. However, my feelings and excitement for Canon's upcoming and long awaited cameras are starting to wane.

With everything announced at NAB 2024 this year with the likes of the Pyxis, the Ursa Cine 12K from Blackmagic Designs, and most importantly the new Lidar follow focus system from DJI, the industry has shifted so much and so quickly that the film and video portion needs to be reevaluated.

So in today's video, I am going to give my reasons why my interest have waned, personally, as well as why you should still feel excited if you are part of a certain category.
