Raspberry Pi Gaming - VC4 Open Source Driver Testing with Jedi Academy

Описание к видео Raspberry Pi Gaming - VC4 Open Source Driver Testing with Jedi Academy

In this video I demonstrate a test build of Raspbian with the vc4 open source GPU driver. This driver is being developed by Eric Anholt at Broadcom and is nearing initial functional completion. More information along with a link to download precompiled test builds (such as the one I'm testing) can be found here:

With this driver you now have access to full OpenGL 2.1 support which means that a large number of 3D accelerated apps and games from the Debian repositories will work without modification now. In this video I test the famous glxgears as well as one of my favorite basic OpenGL "tests" the Really Slick Screensavers "lattice" flying donuts screensaver.

Then I test a game I used to play in the early 2000's, Jedi Academy, which has been ported to Linux by the OpenJK team. OpenJK builds perfectly on ARM including Raspbian, and with this driver providing OpenGL the game runs better than I ever expected it to. The OpenJK GitHub project is here:
