Beginning in week 3 following rotator cuff repair surgery, you should be doing passive stretching exercises on a daily basis. Avoid any active range of motion which will stress the rotator cuff repair and increase the risk of repair failure. Use the sling at all times when not stretching. You should try to stretch for a cumulative total of an hour at the endpoint each day.
