Our next patient had a form of strabismus called esotropia - the turning in of one or both eyes, resulting in double-vision (or abnormal vision development in young children).
.
Surgical loosening (recession) or tightening (resection) of the extra-ocular muscles can help improve eye alignment and improve vision. We performed both recession and resection in this simplified/conceptual case!
