Rory Gilmore [Gilmore Girls] - Could I Be You

My winning bidder on ViddersUnited was luvtheheaven5 with $14 for BlackLivesMatter and her request was a Rory video to this song. There were other video options too but this one felt like I could do something really personal with.



It turned out a bit challenging to make at first but once I'd deleted and redone enough I started to come up with my final concept: Rory becoming independent in a world that didn't quite match her childhood vision. Her first real challenges with herself came with her first relationship and having to be vulnerable. University was harder than she'd expected, she wasn't accepted everywhere and she kept going back to her safe place with Dean, which also didn't work out the way it used to and just caused more conflict in her life. Then she found Logan but couldn't commit because she was still facing the unknown. In A Year In The Life she is more lost than ever, but probably very close to figuring it out.



So thank you Emily for giving me the idea and thanks to the great group of people who put together the whole ViddersUnited event on Discord. It was a fantastic experience.
