Wildwood Trust and RESTORE are joining forces to launch the Native Invertebrate Recovery Centre, a pioneering initiative designed to instigate the return to the wild of Britain’s rarest and most threatened (and nationally extinct!) insect species 🦋🐛🪲🐜

Due to open this spring at Wildwood Devon wildlife park near Ottery St Mary, the centre of excellence will play a critical role in restoring species into recovering ecosystems across the country, from already wildlife-rich nature reserves to pioneering rewilding projects.

The first arrivals to check in at the centre will be the Tadpole Shrimp and the Glowworm, but as the centre grows, we plan to work with a variety of different invertebrate groups, including butterflies, dung beetles and dragonflies.
