Synopsis:

Chandragupta and his friends loot Dhananand's treasure from the palace. Dhananand tries to chase down them but fails because of the intervention of Chanakya. Soon, Chanakya asks Sthoolbhadra to help him in hiding the treasure, whereas orders Chandragupta, Indrajalik and Dhumketu to return to the palace before Dhananand begins to suspect them. Meanwhile, Mura tries to convey her gratitude to Tithiraj for his help in the robbery of the treasure. Dhananand is shocked by Mura's confession and decides to execute her publicly. Chandragupta intervenes and stops Dhananand from doing so. He is left with no choice but to bring Chanakya in front of Dhananand before the sunset to save Mura's life.

சந்திரகுப்தனும் அவனது நண்பர்களும் அரண்மனையிலிருந்து தனானந்தனின் பொக்கிஷத்தை கொள்ளையடித்தனர். தனானந்த் அவர்களைத் துரத்த முயன்றார், ஆனால் சாணக்யாவின் தலையீட்டால் தோல்வியடைந்தார். விரைவில், சாணக்யா ஸ்தூல்பத்ராவிடம் புதையலை மறைக்க உதவுமாறு கேட்கிறார், அதேசமயம் சந்திரகுப்தா, இந்திரஜாலிக் மற்றும் தும்கேது ஆகியோரை தனானந்தன் சந்தேகப்படத் தொடங்குவதற்கு முன்பு அரண்மனைக்குத் திரும்பும்படி கட்டளையிடுகிறார். இதற்கிடையில், புதையலைக் கொள்ளையடிப்பதில் தித்திராஜின் உதவிக்கு முரா தனது நன்றியைத் தெரிவிக்க முயற்சிக்கிறாள். முராவின் வாக்குமூலத்தால் அதிர்ச்சியடைந்த தனானந்த், அவளை பகிரங்கமாக தூக்கிலிட முடிவு செய்கிறார். சந்திரகுப்தா தலையிட்டு தனானந்தனை அவ்வாறு செய்வதைத் தடுக்கிறார். முராவின் உயிரைக் காப்பாற்ற சூரிய அஸ்தமனத்திற்கு முன் சாணக்யாவை தனானந்தனின் முன் கொண்டு வருவதைத் தவிர வேறு வழியில்லை.
