Animating Halton’s Heritage

Digital Art Box CIC in partnership with Halton Libraries, Catalyst Science Discovery Centre and the local community have created an animation that brings historical stories about trades in Halton to life.

The project was based on the main Halton Borough of Culture theme Pioneers and Trailblazers, with a focus on Halton’s trade and industry.

Our animators worked with local people from Halton and taught them how to plan, storyboard, animate and edit video. Together we created an animation that tells local stories of historical careers in Halton.

The Animation:

The purpose of the animation was to produce an entertaining and informative way for people to learn about local historical careers and jobs from Halton. The animation was created using historical archive material and photographs of Halton to create fantastic animated stories from Halton’s industrial past.

This project was made possible by a community grant from the Celebrating Halton’s Heritage project. Thanks also to The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Halton Borough Council.
