My old way of bagging compost.

Описание к видео My old way of bagging compost.

This is how I used to bag compost. I've changed the size of my bags to 18' by 24" - much more manageable for the customers! See here:    • Bagging Your Compost for Sale

If you are a small compost business, like I am, there is no reason to spend a lot of money on an expensive bagging machine. Make a cheap bagging table with chutes and load it up with your skid steer.

In this video, I demonstrate bagging compost super-cheaply with a bagging table we made out of discarded fiberglass pieces. It's not the fastest or most efficient process, but it's way better than filling bags with a bucket.

We can actually fill quite a few bags in an hour.

Even though we sell most of our compost by the scoop (which is a little over a cubic yard), we sell lots of bags each year. People like bags because they don't want a whole scoop, they want to be able to move it around easier, or they don't have access to a truck.

I use jute bags. The customers can use the bags as a mulch when they're done with the compost.
