Cincinnati's Burger Brewing Company launched this sports-themed TV commercial in 1969. It has a very catchy song written just for Burger that continues with the brand's 'You Never Had it so Smooth' theme:

"Smooth, that's what Burger is. Brewed for the man who knows how to live, who wants all the goodness that beer has to give. So, order as he does, try Burger and see, how smooth and enjoyable great beer can be.
Smooth, that's what Burger is. Smooth as the man who follows the sun, tough and tan and looking for fun. Smooth, smooth is a Burger Beer. You never had it so smooth. When a man's got a thirst and he wants something wet, it's his right to enjoy the best beer he can get! So pour him the smooth beer, one of a kind, Burger, the best tasting beer you can find! You never had it so smooth.

This commercial includes video shots of basketball, golf, snow skiing, sailing, field hockey, high diving, track, and ice hockey. There are also shots of grilling as Burger covers most of the bases to appeal to manlier men. Burger Beer is still sold around Cincinnati today as Burger Classic Beer and Burger Light Beer. These are American standard lagers with a little more flavor than national brands.
