About the Book
The goal is to inspire young children, especially ones who do not have parents. The book is about my personal story and the life lessons I have learned while moving from my hometown to Sudan’s capital, then to the United States of America as an immigrant. The journey to North Sudan results from the civil war in the early 80s. The book consists of ten chapters; each chapter comprises other branches. There is no logical order, but it begins from my childhood memories, experiences, and lessons learned, and as you will read through, it seems like opinions. But the greater portion is about my experience over the course of my life journey and building a belief lens through which I see the world. The book's weakness is its partial experiences due to the lack of visiting the whole world, city, or state, as I was limited to the number of places I could see and limited to the number of people I could interact with. Sudan had its independence in 1956, and afterward, a civil war broke out between the North and the South.

Growing up in a Dinka tribe - norms and cultures that the society expects you to conform to.
Having the same value and behavior as a requirement - this uniformity norm prevents the growth of the individual.
Dinka Tribe (Jieng) values, culture, and marriage laws.
The norms allow immediate relatives if you die to marry on your behalf or if you cannot independently.
I was the last child of five boys, but three of my brothers and my parents are no longer with us because of war.

In beginning
My father decided to send us away from the village, hoping we could have a future one day. And I have learned that good things come and go, by choice or no choice. I think my story is worth sharing because it will benefit and encourage children and young adults who have lost their loved ones to reach their dream, see things differently, and overcome their challenges.
