Fantasy Maps and Worldbuilding - For Beginners

Описание к видео Fantasy Maps and Worldbuilding - For Beginners

I’ve been working on a side-project for quite some time (mainly during weekends and late at night) that I wanted to share.
In this video, I’m painting a map of Buckwild, while discussing fantasy worldbuilding for beginners. Buckwild is part of the Eastern Farraway together with the North Star region, where all of our books are set.

I hope that you like this video and if you’ve any tips about creating a fantasy world, feel free to leave a comment below.

Thank you so much for watching & I hope that you’ll have a wonderful day! 🖌️☕️🎨

P.S. Also, for those who are wondering about the art material that I use:
I use Faber-Castell ink pens (size 0.5 and 1.5) and a small set with Windsor and Newton watercolours.
The paper is a 140 lb. cold-pressed A5 watercolour paper from The Langton.

In retrospect, I think it would have been better to use hot-pressed paper. The colours blend really nicely on the cold-pressed paper, but it was quite hard to get the writing neat because of the texture of the paper. Maybe next time, I’ll try cold-press paper instead. 😺
