NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - (Imperial LP 9320 and United Artists single 50864) Out of Los Angeles, this Spectorian 'Wall of Sound' track was originally included as an album cut for Cher's third Imperial LP issued in October 1966. The Carole King & Gerry Goffin tune which has been recorded by nearly everyone under the sun, gets a pretty decent cover version here under the production of Sonny Bono. With a jam-packed backing track featuring L.A.'s 'Wrecking Crew', Cher's spot on vocal performance and the mighty Gold Star echo chamber wide open, nothing short of musical magic was destined to be created. The track was lifted as the flip side to a foreign single release of 'Sunny' (which was a tune also included on the LP) but would not see official single release until 1971 when issued on United Artists shortly after Imperial and it's mother company, Liberty merged with United Artists.
