Prostate Artery Embolization: A Modern Technique

#enlargement of the #prostate is called benign prostatic hyperplasia. This #disease affects males over the age of 50.

Enlargement of the prostate leads to:
Frequent #urination
Burning during urination.
Unable to hold urine.

A lot of studies show that about 50% of men over 70 show these symptoms. In today’s time, a lot of advancements have taken place in prostate treatment, which is quite common in America, Europe, China, and Vietnam. Now people are accepting these modern treatments in #india as well.

The latest treatment for prostate cancer is Prostate Artery #embolization (PAE). In this technique, with the help of a canula, we can enter the prostate arteries through a minute hole in the wrist artery. It blocks the prostate #arteries and, slowly, over 3-6 months, reduces the size of the prostate. Patient starts getting relief within 3–4 weeks. This treatment #procedure gives you #relief from various symptoms of an enlarged prostate, and you don’t need medicines or conventional surgery. There can be chances to repeat the surgery due to relapse of the #body but it is in #minimal cases.
