Pros:
starts from full clean and relatively transparent & goes far beyond
6 diode clipping modes, all very distinct
has germanium, symmetrical and asymmetrical silicon, mosfet, LED & pure op-amp options
18V to 30V operation with constant op-amp voltage display
unique mid-frequency Resonance control
great volume for boost even completely clean
can imitate famous tones
has its own unique high voltage tones

Cons:
no internal battery (but can work on external batteries easily)

Neutral:
has some SMD, but all key components (including electrolytic caps, jacks, switches, the NOS Ge transistor, etc.) are THD

The Verdict:
High voltage, relatively transparent even with bass, mid control instead of treble boost/cut, dual gain control and 6 clipping options. Literally NOTHING out there copies the TFS. There is no alternative to it, as with all Drunk Beaver pedals. And yet it's more than that too. Even if you are content with dime-a-dozen big corp pedals, this will replace all of them for about the same money, covering their style and readily giving more when needed. And only when needed, it's as simple as it gets to use. Basically the only high voltage overdrive with switchable diode clipping options out there. Safe to say our TFS is in it for the long run. And as tone perception cannot be described objectively, here is a very short subjective description: SWEET FLUFFY FOREST SQUIRREL, THIS DRIVE IS TOO GOOD, GET ONE ALREADY!!1
