We take a look at how Scaled Analytic's uses our Flight Data Monitoring software to help our customers detect incorrect altimeter settings.

Recently, there have been a small but growing number of aviation incidents in which the flight crew had the incorrect altimeter setting set in the aircraft.

We look at why this is potentially hazardous and how we can use Flight Data Monitoring to automatically identify these unsafe conditions so that operators can investigate the causes in order to find ways to mitigate the risks of these becoming more serious.

It's one of our longer videos, but we do spend a good amount of time explaining how a pressure sensitive altimeter works. Aviation professionals can skip that part, but aviation hobbyists and the general public may find it quite informative.
