2009-2013 Audi A4 B8 Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) Removal ***Tutorial***

Описание к видео 2009-2013 Audi A4 B8 Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) Removal ***Tutorial***

Welcome to Bradleys Garage,

The CVT has finally failed in our 2011 Audi A4 with 172k on it. We picked up this car with a failed timing chain tensioner so it had a bad valve. Since we already rebuilt the top end and have invested time and money into this car, we decided to tackle the CVT replacement.

We picked up a used CVT transmission from LKQ Pick-A-Part from a wrecked A4 that only had 118k on it. Based on the CarFax history it looks like the trans was serviced at the regular intervals so we felt confident getting this used transmission and using it on this project.

In this video we show you step by step how to remove the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) out of a 2011 Audi B8 A4.This transmission was used from 2007 to 2013 A4 (B7 & B8), A5 (8F), A6 (C6) and A7 (C7) chassis.

Here is the complete parts list you will need for the CVT transmission replacement:

50ML Sealing Compound - https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/audi...
Flex Plate to Crank Bolt (8) - https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/audi...
Flywheel Bolt (3) - https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/vw-s...
Transmission Filter - https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/audi...
Transmission Drain Plug Washer - https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/audi...

The (2) O-rings for the trans cooler lines are Part #N90666003

Please shoot us a message over on our Instagram Channel to get the contact info for the programming service. The total cost was €85 for the programming, which included €35 for installation of ODIS on our laptop remotely, and €50 for the Component Protection removal. If you purchase the cable below or already have ODIS on your laptop then the €35 fee will not apply.

If you need to purchase the “cable” that is necessary for programming, please visit https://www.diagauto.lt/en/produktas/...

Here is a cheaper J2534 compatible cable option that works with ODIS if you just need one for this repair and don't want to invest in an high end one - https://www.godiagshop.com/wholesale/...

The other option is to pay over $500 for the Dealer to remove the “Component Protection” from the replacement CVT. This means you will have to tow your vehicle to the dealer as well since they don’t offer any remote services.
