We are joined by Dr. Chrystelle Vilfranc, Associate Research Scientist and Assistant Director of Research Integration for the Office of Community Outreach and Engagement, Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center, Columbia University. She discusses the need to diversify the liver cancer research space and to make sure that those who are most affected by hepatocellular carcinoma have access both to participate in research and to benefit from findings. She also addresses many of the other social determinants of health that keep rates of HCC persistently high.
