I, Mr. Ricky Barnes, a veteran who served honorably for over 15 years, is uncovering the Scandalous Acts at the Military Medical Board Proceedings that has been ongoing since 1999 to now! As a veteran, starting 1990, I went through the Military Medical Board process 3 times. In 1998, I met the Medical Board again for Herniated and bulging discs, and was returned to duty, However, within a month, for some odd reason, I was being processed again by the same Medical Board and On the 3 Board proceeding in 1998/99 the Board changed my medical diagnosis from Herniated and Bulging discs to Low Back Pain (LBP) in order to downgrade my full retirement to severance pay. This is a common practice by the Military Board process to deny military members of all races, especially Black military members a full retirement. This is not being reported properly or even being tracked according to the National Personnel Records Center. Black service members have historically faced disparities within the military justice system, including being more likely to face court-martial, receive harsher punishments, and experience racial bias in recruitment and advancement especially at the Military Medical Board Proceedings where those Board proceedings are not transferred to The National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) located at 1 Archives Drive, St. Louis, MO 63138. After contacting the National Personnel Records Center March 26, 2025, it became clear as to why the Military Medical Board panel will withhold or destroy Board proceeding recordings and documents to never be seen again. Regardless of race, no military member should have to endure racism, discrimination, and/or bias from any military Board proceedings.
