Central Johannesburg TVET College lies in the heart of what was once the city that provided more than 40 percent of the world’s annual gold production, and is still the economic and financial hub of South Africa, producing 16% of South Africa's gross domestic product.

Operating under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) in South Africa, Central Johannesburg TVET College is one of eight TVET colleges in Gauteng, and fifty in the country.

It's eight campuses, namely Ellis Park, Parktown, Alexandra, Riverlea, Langlaagte, Crown Mines, Smit Street and Troyville are spread within a radius of approximately 10km from the Central Office in Parktown.

It aims to provide responsive education and training interventions that lead it's students to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities that in turn contributes to economic development in Egoli, the City of Gold.
