This is the problem: In Excel, it is very common that when you change the value in one cell, it will change multiple cells in other sheets or workbooks. The problem is that, you may not know which cells are changed.

This is why it is important for you to solve it: You will want to know how changing a single cell will carry through to other cells, worksheets, or workbooks. If you are not sure, then you can break formulas or cells and get error messages.

This is how Dr. Winston solves it: Dr. Winston shows how to use trace precedents and trace dependents to show how a formula effects others.
