Alec Davis is fascinated by how music fits into the larger category of living well and understanding existence, which he considers an inherently spiritual pursuit. In addition to his work at Westmoreland and working with his piano students, he enjoys being immersed in philosophy, cognitive neuroscience, and economics, practicing woodworking, aikido, Zen meditation and Japanese, and making a home with his partner and cats.
