Airfix 1:72 P-51D Mustang Build Review

Hello and welcome to Badger Cam In this weeks video, I'm going to be building the 1 72nd scale P-51d North American Mustang model kit.

The p51 Mustang is arguably the most iconic American plane of ww2 with its sleek lines and look.
The Airfix model of this plane does the aircraft justice. And the simple and striking Tuskegee Red tails scheme really stands out amongst the other models on the self.

The model was easy to assemble with good crisp details and very little flash, this model would be good for a beginner. Only two small areas on this model provided a challenge for me,the first was the undercarriage this has got to be the most delicate wheel strut of any of the planes I have built so far and although simple should be handled carefully.

The other part of the kit I found problematic was the decals for the two yellow bands over the wings, fitting these was fiddley but a good result can be achieved if you take your time.

Any way that's my review of the Air fix P51D Mustang
