London Christmas lights - Oxford St. - Regent St. - Leicester Square - Covent Garden - December 2024

Join Henry and I for my annual walk through central London to see the Christmas shop windows and lights. This the first year I’ve filmed it as a vlog!

This a Christmas tradition that I’ve continued on from my mum, who used to always visit London at this time of year to see the lights. In later years I started filming them on my phone, so I could show her on the TV, when she could no longer come up for a visit.

Apologies for the sound quality, I tried using the DJI microphone for this video but I think the sound is actually better when I just film with the camera.

We started the walk at Bond Street and visited Grosvenor Square Gardens while I waited for it to get dark and the lights to start coming on. There was a special memorial garden to visit there, which was a really nice starting point.

We then headed to see the Selfridges decorated shop windows, before heading down Oxford Street towards Regent Street. With a quick detour to Carnaby Street, we made it down to Piccadilly Circus and visited the advent calendar windows at Fortnum and Mason’s. We then made our way to Covent Garden via Leicester Square.

I’d like to dedicate this vlog to my mum, Betty, who passed away in 2014. I hope you enjoy!
