Chevy Impala Wheel Speed/ABS Sensor Fix

We fix the wheel speed sensor on the 2010 Chevy Impala. GM designed the harness location of the Impala wheel speed/abs sensor poorly. The way the wheel speed sensor wiring harness routes causes it to rub on the CV axle causing premature failure of the wiring harness. This sets off the "Service Traction Control" warning in the dash. Fortunately this doesn't mean you need to replace the hub or the sensor itself as you can simply cut and solder the wires that have been frayed back together. To access the wheel speed sensor you will need to remove the wheel, front brake, and disconnect the lower strut mount from the steering knuckle. After that you must take off the 34mm axle nut and pull the axle out of the hub assembly. Finally to gain access to the ABS wheel speed sensor you will remove the 3 mounting bolts for the wheel bearing.
