[Finite Element 9] Transient heat transfer simulation in OpenFOAM

Описание к видео [Finite Element 9] Transient heat transfer simulation in OpenFOAM

Almost everyone in the field of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) knows OpenFOAM, and many believe that it is an unbeatable option, bringing lots of freedom besides the power it gives to users. In this video, we solve the problem that we have solved several times so far in OpenFOAM, to demonstrate that it can be used for problems other than CFD too. Let’s see what OpenFOAM has to say about heat transfer problems. We will also have a look at how we can convert our geometry to something that OpenFOAM understands.

Codes, models, and resources:
In order to follow the videos and reproduce the output, you may want to use the ready codes and models instead of creating them from scratch using the instructions from previous videos. You can find all the relevant stuff, grouped for different episodes at http://tuxriders.com/videos/finite-el... and https://github.com/TuxRiders/finite-e...

You can see the rest of the episodes of the finite element series here:    • Introduction to finite element modeling

Applied numerical computing series, in which the underlying theories of these videos are discussed:    • Introduction to applied numerical mod...
