Elburg

Elburg is een alleraardigst stadje met goed geconserveerde huizen en gebouwen die middeleeuws aandoen. De plattegrond van de vesting Elburg is vierkant met min of meer rechte straten en dateert uit de 14e eeuw. Het is dan ook een beschermd stadsgezicht met vele monumenten. Markante plekken zijn natuurlijk de Visscherspoort, de vissershaven, de Grote of Sint Nicolaaskerk, het Agnietenklooster en de vele musea. Maar op deze mooie dag is het vooral genieten op de terrassen en van de vele bloemen in potten, pannen en teilen, waarmee de straten worden opgefleurd. Elburg is a lovely town with well-preserved houses and buildings that look medieval. The plan of the Elburg fortress is square with more or less straight streets and dates from the 14th century. It is therefore a protected cityscape with many monuments. Striking places are of course the Visscherspoort, the fishing port, the Grote or Sint Nicolaaskerk, the Agnietenklooster and the many museums. But on this beautiful day you can especially enjoy the terraces and the many flowers in pots, pans and tubs that brighten up the streets.
