It’s been over six years since the "Summer of ’85," and Funko collectors are still reeling from the fact that Nancy Wheeler and Jonathan Byers never received figures for Season 3. Despite having one of the most intense and iconic sequences in the series—the Hawkins Memorial Hospital fight against the Flayed—the duo was completely skipped in the official wave.

The omission feels especially targeted given that characters like Barb (who had minutes of screen time) have multiple variants, while Nancy and Jonathan were stuck with only their Season 1 figures for years. Fans have long campaigned for a "Hospital Fight" Pop! Moment, featuring Nancy with her wire cutters or the grotesque Hospital Monster, but Funko has yet to deliver on the 1985 versions of the investigative duo.

The good news? The "dry spell" is finally ending in 2026. With the release of Stranger Things 5, Funko has officially launched new figures for both characters, including Nancy with her shotgun and Jonathan with his camera. While it doesn’t quite make up for the missing purple-and-blue 80s mall outfits, it’s a long-overdue win for "Jancy" fans who have had empty spots on their shelves for nearly a decade.
