The man who was acquitted of murder for his role in a mass shooting in Seattle is now headed to federal prison after being convicted of gun and drug charges.

At a hearing in U.S. District Court on Wednesday morning, a judge sentenced 30-year-old Marquise Tolbert to 39 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.

Judge Tana Lin acknowledged she was giving Tolbert "a pretty big break" by ordering significantly less time in prison than the 72 months requested by prosecutors.
