A Comfortable Seat for Standing Desks — $99 Ikea Lidkullen Review

Ikea's $99 Lidkullen Stool is the perfect addition to your standing desk. It reduces fatigue and increases movement which can improve focus and creativity. The 360° tilting-seat allows you to comfortably perch and sit.

It's the most versatile and well-built seat for standing desks under $400 that I've seen. It's a great second seat to your task chair or if you're comfortable with active movement, the Lidkullen works well by itself.

🌟 UPDATE: MAY 4 🌟
The Trollberget has a higher minimum sitting height — 26" / 66cm than the Lidkullen — 23¼" / 59 cm. I incorrectly said both had the same minimum height. Apologies. This adjustment makes the Trollberget less appealing to me.

This is a great accessory for helping you improve posture, productivity, and comfort while standing. Raising a leg up in a "captain morgan" position takes a load off your lower back helping you to reduce pain. 3️⃣Imprint Commerical Flat Mat
I've been using this mat for several years with very little wear and tear. It also grips the floor quite well. Avoid the "Imprint CumulusPro Professional". It's cheaper, less supportive, and generally an inferior product.

This mat has raised surfaces that help you move around throughout the day. I love being able to stretch out my calves and massage my feet on the raised edges. The TopoMat is more supportive, less slippery, and larger than the popular AmazonBasics mat.
