In this guide video for 99 Nights In The Forest, I show you exactly how to find and rescue all 4 missing kids — the Dino Kid, Kraken Kid, Squid Kid, and Koala Kid. These aren't just hidden NPCs, they’re essential to progressing in the game and unlocking the full survival multiplier!

To begin your rescue mission, head over to the missing kid bulletin board located at your camp. Clicking on any of the kid’s photos will activate a red arrow, pointing in the direction of their general location. But don’t expect it to be easy — each child is guarded by dangerous forest creatures like Wolves, Alpha Wolves, and Bears. Be prepared for a fight before you can even reach the entrance to their cave or tunnel.

However, you won’t be able to reach all the kids right away — you’ll need to upgrade your bonfire to unlock more areas of the map. The more you expand, the more the forest reveals its secrets and paths to these kids' locations.

To make your rescue missions smoother, I recommend building a map and compass at your workbench. These tools will help you track your bearings and stay on the right path, especially when navigating deep forest terrain with multiple threats.

Once you've defeated the guardian animals, the last enemy will drop a key. Use this to unlock the gate or door leading to the child’s room. Carefully carry the kid back in your sack and place them at the camp to complete the mission. Each rescue also helps increase your night cycle multiplier, making it easier to progress toward long-term survival goals like Night 100 or even 200+.
