I do not remember exactly how I found Vyacheslav Artyomov's music. It was in one of those endless afternoons surfing the internet from video to video, from link to link, opening dozens of new tabs in the browser, trying not to lose track of what I was looking for. The truth is that I got lost and found a recording of this work that moved me from the beginning. I bought the score immediately and searched online to find out who he was. Since then we have written several times and talked about some details of the Preludes.

His music is wonderful, deep and beautiful. I encourage you to listen to another of his compositions: Tristia I, Tristia II, Scenes ...

The three pieces are inspired by Rainer Maria Rilke’s “Sonette zu Orpheus” where it comes the title of the work.

With my good student Arturo Asensi we did a hard work with these three pieces. It is not music for all students; especially the third and most beautiful movement that requires an extraordinary calm and inner peace.

No recuerdo exactamente cómo conocí la música de Vyacheslav Artyomov. Fue en una de esas interminables tardes rastreando la red de vídeo en vídeo, de enlace a enlace, abriendo mil pestañas en el navegador, tratando de no perder la pista de lo que andaba buscando. Lo cierto es que la perdí y encontré una grabación de esta obra que me dejó enamorado. Compré enseguida la partitura y busqué al compositor en internet para saber quién era. Desde entonces nos hemos escrito varias veces y hemos hablado sobre detalles de los Preludios.

Su música es maravillosa y hermosísima. Os animo a que conozcáis otras de sus composiciones: Tristia I, Tristia II, Scenes...

Las tres piezas están inspiradas en los “Sonette zu Orpheus” de Rainer Maria Rilke, de ahí el título de la obra.

Con mi buen alumno Arturo Asensi trabajamos intensamente las tres piezas. Es una música no apta para todos los alumnos; especialmente por el tercer hermosísimo movimiento que requiere de una calma y una paz interior fuera de lo común.
