The notifications of MBBS and BDS admission tests will be published in the national dailies shortly, he said.

In response to whether there are any new rules in the admission test, Dr Ahsan Habib said, "In order to bring any change in the admission test, the process has to start one to one and a half years earlier. A change can be brought about only if different stakeholders consider the pros and cons of different proposals through exchange of views and deem it necessary."

"Therefore, this year, the admission test will be taken as per the previous rules, i.e. admission test of MCQ system of 100 marks and 100 marks on the basis of marks obtained in SSC and HSC examinations. The national merit based list will be made on the basis of these 20 marks," he added.
