This was part of a phenomenal day of music that I was lucky to actually be at, with Pulp, Garbage, Sonic Youth and the Beastie Boys. The venue is a stone-built amphitheatre dating back to the late 1930s, located high above the River Rhine on a rock plateau, with stunning views over the river from the clifftop at the back of the stage.
