Zoom – Microfluidic reactors | The future of biocatalysis

Описание к видео Zoom – Microfluidic reactors | The future of biocatalysis

In biocatalysis, enzymes productively produce active substances by accelerating chemical reactions. At the Institute for Biological Interfaces at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), researchers led by Christof Niemeyer are working on the future of the process. The reaction takes place in miniature reactors that work with microfluidics and self-made nanomaterials. In this way, highly selective drug building blocks can be produced continuously.
