Homelite - Super 2 (1976) - First Cuts and Observations

Hi folks. I just wrapped up 3 Homelites these past couple of weeks. This is my first real cutting/experience with the smaller XL-2/Super-2 series. I still need to work my way through setting up these fixed H Walbro HDC's. As with any new saw/series of carb, it takes a couple of tanks or so to find out where it is happy. Impulse oiler is pumping really well. Although everything tested tight, there may be a bit of an air leak? There is a lot of room to play with the idle screw on these HDC's before the transition ports start to dump fuel, so it may be a matter of settling at a lower speed and/or richer L setting.

It really pulls a 12" loop of LP semi well. I was leaning on it pretty well and it didn't complain when buried. Swings pretty hard for a 30 cc saw.
