EP 6 – Apartheid and how it was institutionalized

The end of slavery opened a new door for colonization in Africa. Colonization went on for several years and with the agitation and fight for independence, many African countries attained their independence in the 1960s. However, Africa did not fully attain independence as neocolonialism has since gone on.
In this episode of LUMUMBA Explains, the Explosion of independence in Africa and the Addis Ababa dream of a United Africa that was spearheaded by Kwame Nkrumah. Further, he expounds on the beginning of assassinations in Africa post-independence.
The second wave of independence in Africa features here with a focus on South Africa. We focus on the establishment of Apartheid in South Africa. This form of human segregation affected the people and the country, and its effects continue to be seen to date. Neocolonialism is alive and continues to affect the African people to date.
