*** IMPORTANT: Resolve appears to no longer allow you to draw automation envelopes for two-state (i.e. On/Off) parameters. The steps below allow you to work around this limitation.

1. Ensure you're in automation Write mode (i.e. top button bar).
2. Play your audio.
3. While playing, click Spin Down close to where you'd like the effect to kick in.
4. While playing, click Spin Down a second time to turn the effect off.
5. Stop playback.

At this point, Resolve should have drawn a green automation line for you with distinct points at locations where / when you clicked the Spin Down button during playback. Next...

6. Click the "Select Range" icon and drag your cursor across the automation points you want to move (if any).
7. Fine tune the automation points until you're satisfied.
