Shopify stores are notoriously slow and there is very little you can do about it. But I have found a less known hack that can improve your page speed many fold by reducing the size of Gifs we use on our Shopify store's product pages.

Higher size of Gifs results in very low page speed. Means our Shopify product page load very slowly and hurts our sales and conversions.

Research says that if your product page does not load in 3 seconds that there are high chances customers will leave your website.

So, that makes it super important to have a high page load speed for all kind of websites, especially E-commerce and dropshipping product page must have high page load speed.

One of the main reasons of slow page speed is the excessive use of Gifs on product page description.

On average every product page have at least 2 to 3 images and their size ranges from 1 Mb to 20 Mb or sometimes more than that.

But dropshippers use them because they help highlight the benefits and workings of the products because of their animated nature.

But a big downside of using Gifs is they drasctically slow down the page load speed which results in customer bouncing off our product pages.

And, not to speak we run ads to bring these customers to our Shopify product pages.

But luckily I've found a work around. I started using Videos in place of Gifs. Videos are up to 90% to 99% less in size and same results are achieved by using them on our Shopify stores product page description.

The method is simple and often underrated.

Beginners and often times veteran marketers also neglect the importance of high page load speed.

My solution is very simple. I convert Gifs to video and then upload them to files section of Shopify. From there I get it url link generated and use a simple html code to paste it in.

Then, I paste that code in the show html of Shopify product page description. Videos behaves just like images and they have very low file size resulting in high page load speed.

Video in place of Gifs boost our product page speed upto 1.5 times to 2 times and even more.

Every one must try this super effective method for high page load speed of Shopify product pages.
