Monthly Hawaii Civil Defense Siren Test Now Includes Nuclear Attack Alert (Waikiki)

Описание к видео Monthly Hawaii Civil Defense Siren Test Now Includes Nuclear Attack Alert (Waikiki)

On the first of every month at 11:45am (or first business day thereafter if the first falls on a weekend or holiday), the State of Hawai’i tests its state-wide civil defense siren system primarily used for tsunami, hurricane, earthquake or volcano warnings. In the past, we only heard the first long steady tone for 45 seconds. As of December 1, 2017, the State of Hawaii added the second warbling tone lasting approximately 45 seconds which hereafter will be the warning of, God forbid, an imminent nuclear attack. It is estimated that the State of Hawaii will have no more than a 20 minute warning prior to impact for any missile fired from North Korea. It is also estimated that a nuclear missile fired upon Honolulu will result in approximately 18,000 deaths.
