Quito and the Ecuadorian Andes in 4K UHD (El Chinchinal - Coraza Music)

Ecuador is one of the most beautiful countries in the whole world. Although it is very small, it is its size that makes it so special. This tiny country has all the climates and micro climates on the planet. This is possible because of its location in the middle of the world and also due to the fact that it is crossed by the Andes mountain range, giving it 4 completely different regions: The Galapagos region, the coastal region, the Andes region, and the Amazon basin region. You can imagine the diversity of flora and fauna you could find in this country. Within a short 2 hour drive you could be in a completely different ecosystem.
Quito, the capital is surrounded by many volcanoes. Some of them are featured in this video. At the beginning you can see the Chimborazo, which is the highest mountain in Ecuador with 6,263 meters, followed by Cotopaxi with 5,911 meters.
Ecuador was part of the "Gran Colombia" composed of Venezuela, Colombia, and Ecuador. Simon Bolivar is believed to have said that Venezuela was a Fortress, Colombia a University, and Ecuador a Convent. This statement could be witnessed when visiting Quito; within two small blocks in the city center, there are 7 big catholic churches, making it really look like a convent.
Some of the most beautiful churches are featured in this video: La Compañia, San Francisco, El Sagrario, La Merced, and Basilica. All of them being overlooked by the El Panecillo Virgen from a small hill above.
Also featured in the video is the Quilotoa crater lake with its beautiful deep blue and green colors. Special thanks to Hacienda San Agustin de Callo, for allowing me to make a shot of their beautiful hacienda. If you have the chance, I would highly recommend visiting the hacienda and having lunch or staying a couple of days there, it is truly a hidden gem and it is located very close from the Cotopaxi volcano, providing a magnificent view.
