16 and Homeless - A short film by the NIHE & NIYF

16 and Homeless is a short film based on a true life story. The film is centered around David, a young 16 year old man, who becomes homeless looks to the Northern Ireland Housing Executive for help

David tells his friends exactly what he had to go through and how there were people there for him but that it simply wasn't a case of "walking up to the Housing Executive and asking for a house".

The aim of this film is to explain the severity of homelessness and the difficulties young people may face. There are people there to help but YOU will also have to work hard to secure a home for yourself.

This film was made in conjunction with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive and the Northern Ireland Youth Forum.
