This is a project to restore old painted bmw motorbike plastic fairings.  Although there are two or three parts in the video, larger plastic parts have to be restored.  These are just some basic steps of preparation.

Paint can be sanddowned and painted over this.  But if we restore properly, we have to remove this paint completely.  After that, plastic parts should be leveled using P 180 P 240 P 320 Grift Sand papers.  Unlike metal parts, working with plastic parts is very easy.  But if it is not done correctly, the paint can come off.  Smooth with P 320 sand paper and spray one or two coats of adhesion promoter.

After that, you can spray 2k filler primer and get the panel ready for paint. The advantage of plastic is that it can be sanded down to get the same quality as the OEM condition without removing the big scratches.  Therefore, in restoring the painted plastic parts, the old paint should be completely removed and the work should be started from the beginning.  The work is hard but the results are great.
