 The Mighty Nein, Prime Video's new fantasy series, made its Rotten Tomatoes debut with an astonishing score. Prime Video has leaned into the fantasy genre a lot in recent years, with series like The Wheel of Time and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.  In 2022, the streamer debuted an animated fantasy show called The Legend of Vox Machina, which has released three seasons so far. Now a spinoff called The Mighty Nein is just a couple of days away from premiering.  Ahead of its series premiere on Prime Video, The Mighty Nein has received a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score of 100% based on eight reviews. Critics are calling the animated spinoff a huge success with its storytelling and a worthy expansion of the franchise. The characters have been described as complicated and magnetic, proving that they have the depth to keep fans interested episode after episode and season after season.  The Mighty Nein's debut is in good company, as all three seasons of The Legend of Vox Machina have perfect scores on the review website as well. The average audience score for the series overall is 94%.  The Legend of Vox Machina is based on a campaign from the popular Dungeons & Dragons web series, Critical Role, and tells the story of a group of mercenaries who set out to fight off threats and avenge the Whitestone murders. The series got its start on Kickstarter, to great success. Prime Video eventually stepped in and bought the rights to stream the series.  Three seasons have been released so far, with The Legend of Vox Machina season 4 coming in 2026 and season 5 expected to be the final installment.  In the meantime, though, The Mighty Nein is about to drop on Prime Video. The spinoff takes place two decades after the original series in the world of Exandria, where the Dwendalian Empire and the Kryn Dynasty are at odds as war threatens to overtake the land.  The Mighty Nein cast includes Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Matthew Mercer, Liam O'Brien, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, Travis Willingham, and Lucy Liu.  As anticipation continues to build, Prime Video decided to get fans even more excited by releasing the very first episode on YouTube for three days starting November 14.
