🕊️ Farewell to Sir Nagora Bogan: A distinguished leader laid to rest 🌹

The late distinguished former senior public servant and business leader Sir Nagora Bogan was laid to rest on Monday, July 1, 2024, at his family’s Ambisi Estate in Butibam, Lae. The solemn ceremony was attended by hundreds of people from the six Ahi villages (Butibam, Hengali, Wagang, Yanga, Kamkumung, and Yalu), the surrounding community, and Lae residents.

Soldiers of the PNG Defence Force based at Igam honored Sir Nagora with a 16-gun salute at Ambisi before his interment.

This was preceded by an emotional State funeral at Sir Ignatius Kilage Indoor Stadium in Lae. Leaders in attendance included Morobe Governor Hon. Luther Wenge, former Lae MP and Butibam leader Bart Philemon, University of Technology Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ora Renagi, former Morobe Governor Ginson Saonu, and prominent Ahi leader Benson Nablu.
