God of War, the most overrated pile of garbage released during the eighth console generation of videogames. A horrible shift in direction and a complete misunderstanding of what made God of War so beloved in the first place. A game that borrows both story and gameplay elements from other games and randomly, egregiously inserts those elements at will without proper thought or control in a game that's as generic and copy/paste as many of the modern videogames that are on the market. Another game that suffers from being an open world title with the open world designed as an empty NPCless wasteland filled with just enough color to jerk off the moronic gaming journalists who gave this nonsense perfect scores and enough nominations for an undeserving game of the year win.

This is one of the worst games and personally my most hated game released this console generation. A soulless corporate mess that screws with the original vision of series creator David Jaffe who has expressed his own personal problems with the shift in direction while trying to respect his former colleague Cory Barlog, the director of this trash and ironically the best game in the series God of War 2. Just the same as other overrated games just like it from Nier Automata to Metal Gear Solid 5 to Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey. This is another videogame franchise that has been ruined in the eighth console generation. Two thumbs way, way down. Considering this was vastly overrated since its original E3 unveiling leading all the way up to its release and long after post launch by both dumb ill-minded fanboys and ignorant gaming journalists alike, I consider God of War 2018 to be a prime example of just how too far gone the videogame industry is becoming.
